Since 1981, the Third District Citizens Advisory Council (3D CAC) has been Washington DC’s most trusted bridge between community and law enforcement. What began as a grassroots safety initiative mandated by MPD has evolved into the region’s premier community-police partnership organization, serving over 180,000 residents annually with award-winning programs and proven results.

Over four decades, we’ve built an unparalleled track record of public safety education, community engagement, and measurable crime reduction results. Our sophisticated programming approach combines professional management with deep community roots, creating lasting partnerships that strengthen neighborhoods and save lives.
